Just arrived! Our 2022 Yu Qian Anji Bai Cha is a warmly welcomed early spring tea. Its delicate leaves and tender young buds infuse to a lovely cup of whispery goodness. The dry leaf aroma invokes thoughts of young green Kalamata olives and a hint of delicate almond blossoms. The liquor (infusion) color is a very light spring greenish-yellow and crystal clear, owing to the great care the tea harvesters and tea master took with these leaves.

The first sip of a new harvest tea is always a treat and this one is no exception. While still hot but safely drinkable, this tea offers a rush of young pea pod and fresh almond-macadamia nutty notes. There’s a touch of sun-warmed wheat grass in the lightly crisp finish.

As the cup cools a whispery floral note comes through the warming nut notes and reminds us that spring has delivered on its promise: the end of winter, nature’s awakening, and fabulous spring teas.
