How long have you been growing tea and what got your started?
I have been working with tea for 10 years. I was born in a tea family and as a result, naturally work with tea too. I love tea.
Can you describe a typical day out in the field?
I will go out at 8am and finish my job around 2pm, then I will send the tea leaves to our primary factory for production.
What is your favorite part of growing tea?
I like the shaping part of production. This is done by hand. The tea will become a square shape after this step. I love the beautiful shape of this tea.
Conversely, what is the hardest part of your job?
It is difficult to find more workers in the busy spring season. Lots of young people in the village go to the big cities to make a living.
Are there any tips you can give on how to best brew your tea?
Please use a gai wan with 100 degrees celsius hot water to brew the tea. It is really a good cup of tea with lovely and pleasant smell.
