New Taipei, Taiwan

New Taipei abounds in natural beauty. Rivers carrying fresh water wind through the lush greenery of misty mountains, nurturing all that grows here. The resident tea plants benefit greatly from these conditions, growing amidst fresh vegetation and floral sweetness.

One of the famous teas from this region is baozhong, also known as pouchong, a lightly oxidized tea that straddles the divide between green and oolong. Remarkably smooth and light bodied, a good baozhong will impart the region's unique taste (its terroir) of classic floral notes and smooth vegetal complexity.
